Sakunthala is an architect who pursued her studies in both England and Sri Lanka. Her artistic journey began in January 2025, inspired by her brother, who always believed in her creativity and often encouraged her to explore it further.

After losing her brother to depression, Sakunthala found herself filled with emotion and energy that needed an outlet. In January 2025, she turned to painting as a means of expression and healing.

What began as a personal pursuit soon evolved into something greater — a way to honor her brother’s passions. Sakunthala decided to paint, exhibit, and collaborate in support of causes close to his heart, particularly education and mental health awareness, donating proceeds from her work to related charities.

Her art is deeply inspired by her brother, who remains her best friend, greatest influence, and enduring source of inspiration. Each piece she creates embodies a memory, a moment, or a conversation shared with him. For Sakunthala, this journey is more than art — it is a way of keeping his presence and purpose alive.
