Thilini Jinadasa

ABOUT ARTIST

Thilini Jinadasa is a contemporary painter whose work is rooted in a deep

exploration of color, form, and emotion. Her paintings are meditative expressions

that bridge the internal landscape of memory and feeling with the external world of nature. With an intuitive approach to abstraction, she crafts visual narratives that evoke stillness, depth, and a sense of quiet wonder.

While Thilini holds a degree from the University of Moratuwa and worked as a Lead UI/UX Designer, her true calling has always been painting. Art has been a constant thread woven through her life—a private sanctuary and a powerful mode of selfdiscovery. She is especially intrigued by the subtle ways in which art and design intersect, each discipline informing the other with new perspectives on balance, texture, and rhythm.

Thilini’s connection to nature is deeply personal and ever-present in her work.

Having grown up in close harmony with the natural world, she draws inspiration

from its organic patterns, shifting moods, and quiet wisdom. Whether shaped by

the frenetic energy of urban life or the stillness of a remote mountain village, her

environments play a profound role in shaping her visual language.

Since 2019, Thilini’s work has been featured in several notable exhibitions, including the Young Contemporaries at the JDA Perera Gallery of Sri Lanka and the KalaPola iconic art fair since 2018. Her art has also been highlighted in ‘The Architect’ magazine and is part of private collections across Sri Lanka, Europe, and Australia, reflecting its resonance with a diverse global audience.
