ABOUT ARTIST

Sisil Rathnayake is a Sri Lankan visual artist and designer, educated in Design at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts, Sri Lanka. With over two decades of experience in art education and creative practice, Rathnayake works across line art, acrylic painting, portraiture, and design.

His artistic practice is grounded in creativity, precision, and a deep appreciation for detail. Drawing from his extensive experience as both an artist and educator, Rathnayake approaches each work with a balance of technical discipline and artistic expression.

Alongside his own creative practice, he has dedicated more than 20 years to art education, sharing his knowledge and experience with emerging artists and nurturing creativity, observation, and technical skill in the next generation.
