ABOUT ARTIST

Shiyanka De Zylva is a Sri Lankan artist whose practice spans mandala dot painting, abstract fluid art, and intricate small-scale works.

Her work explores colour, symmetry, movement, and detail, often finding a balance between structure and spontaneity. She is particularly drawn to the meditative nature of mandala art, where repetition and precision come together to create intricate and harmonious compositions.

In contrast, her fluid works embrace greater freedom, allowing colour and movement to develop organically. She also creates detailed smaller works that bring the same sense of craftsmanship and visual richness into more intimate formats.

Across her practice, Shiyanka seeks to create work that is thoughtful, vibrant, and inviting, while allowing each piece to retain its own distinct character.
