ABOUT ARTIST

Shane Walgama is a self-taught artist from Sri Lanka.

His work intricately weaves narratives inspired by the historical relations of Pre-Colonial Ceylon and the wider Asian subcontinent.

Shane utilizes a diverse array of mediums including digital line art, acrylics, coffee, and collage, in forming his artistic expression.

Drawing inspiration from colonial-era photography, his art offers a reimagined panorama of the grandeur and resilience inherent in pre-colonial societies and their inhabitants.

Guided by the ethos of “Art for good,” a portion of all the proceeds from his art is donated to worthy causes and charitable organizations.
