ABOUT ARTIST

Nasmina Ameer is an undergraduate at Eastern University, Sri Lanka, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She is an artist who primarily works with mixed media, using symbolism as a central element in her practice to explore the question, “Who am I?”

Her work reflects themes of social bonds and individual identity, forming a continuous journey of self-discovery. Carrying the bitter experiences of the past in her mind, she revisits and re-examines her inner world, searching for herself through what she sees as an endless story.

Her drawing journey began with a simple curiosity about how colours could express emotions beyond words. Over time, this curiosity evolved into a deeper artistic exploration.

Nasmina’s journey continues as she experiments with new styles, themes, and techniques, constantly seeking fresh ways to express her artistic vision and personal identity.
