ABOUT ARTIST

Jean de Zoysa is a self-taught artist from Colombo, Sri Lanka. She has been drawing for over 8 years and found her passion for art at a later stage of her life, as she was an accountant by profession. She started painting mainly to shift her focus from the chaotic life she led and discovered a whole new world to transcend to.

She is a lifelong gardener and flowers represent the life cycle. Her art celebrates vibrant & pastel colours with textures on abstracts focused on nature and wilderness, bringing a sense of joy into every stroke that ignites the flames of creativity in the hearts of people worldwide. She mainly uses acrylic on canvas with explorative techniques, and she draws inspiration from Claude Monet.

She has been listed in exhibits, virtual publications, and galleries both locally and internationally. She had her first solo exhibition “Beauty in the Midst of Chaos” in 2022.
